Smart Energy Governance Analyst

The Smart Energy Code (SEC) underpins the smart meter rollout programme in Great Britain, and Gemserv provides the SEC Administration and Secretariat (SECAS) service, so, if you enjoy working on a high-profile account in a challenging and ground-breaking sector, this is the place for you.

The successful candidate will work within the SECAS team to provide governance support to the SEC Panel’s technical Sub-Committees by co-ordinating meeting papers and drafting detailed minutes, organising and facilitating meetings, and communicating industry developments.

As you develop your knowledge of the technology and governance processes that underpin the smart energy arrangements, there will be opportunities to start taking on actions arising from monthly meetings and writing papers. You will work as part of a small team of consultants and analysts who will support you as you start your career in the smart energy industry.

We are looking for a self-starter who will not just follow, but who will help the team to drive the agenda moving forward, as we support the industry in navigating its way through the complexity of the smart meter rollout. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, require strong communication skills, excellent written skills, attention to detail, as well as flexibility to manage priorities.

The SECAS team itself comprises over 30 motivated individuals who pride themselves on quality of delivery while also fostering a collaborative and fun atmosphere. We operate a hybrid working approach with a mix of office and remote working, with the team expected to be in Gemserv’s London office for part of the week.
