The Role

 

Gemserv is transforming the way organisations work providing advice on cyber security and cyber threat intelligence that are compliant and assured with best practice security frameworks.

 

The role reports into the Head of Cyber Security and is dedicated to delivering consultancy services to new and existing clients requiring our Cyber and Information security services, in traditional and cloud environments.

 

Excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly at Senior Management level are a pre-requisite, and the successful candidate will need excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

 

The role will include travel to UK client sites and may also include international travel at times in support of specific client engagements.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Undertaking and consulting on cyber projects
  • Working with clients and Gemserv teams to provide OSINT cyber threat intelligence reports
  • Leading and conducting security assessments and improvements with full engagement with stakeholders in accordance with ISO27001, Cyber Essentials, NIS, NIST or other security framework.
  • Conducting information risk assessments and review of treatment plans
  • Working with team members and the Cyber Security to grow the Threat Intelligence service offering to all clients across all sectors
  • The development of cyber service proposals and support on business development bids
  • Producing thought leadership material on cyber and threat intelligence topics of key interest
  • Speaking at industry events and conducting webinars with the aim to promote awareness of the 'Gemserv cyber and threat intelligence services
  • Working closely with the business development team, including identification of leads and opportunities from new and existing clients

 

 

Requirements

The following skills and experience we would consider mandatory. However, if you lack any of these but are willing to learn, still get in touch:

  • Industry recognised certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA
  • Practical hands on experience of undertaking and consulting on cyber projects
  • A passion for cyber security and threat intelligence with a broad understanding of the concepts and the industry
  • First class communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Deep knowledge of a specialist area of cyber security and / or cyber threat intelligence as a recognised and certified subject matter expert (SME), whether technical, risk related, compliance, security business modelling or operational security management
  • Adept in operating in challenging situations, and enjoy working in a high performing team environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly at executive level
  • Strong business analysis, project management skills and an ability and willingness to learn new concepts and skills

Desirable:

Ideally, we are looking for candidates with Cyber Threat Intelligence knowledge and working experience, however we will consider:

  • Experience compiling threat intelligence reports
  • A passion and desire to do business development positioning, including identify leads and opportunities
  • Awareness of the MITRE ATT&CK Framework
  • CREST accredited Cyber Threat Intelligence course covering the CPTIA and CRTIA syllabus
  • Certified ISO27001 Lead Implementer and Auditor
  • Knowledge of information security principles, regulations, and best practices
  • Previous experience working in the government, military, and law enforcement sectors
  • Security Cleared (BS7858, SC or DV)
