Communications and Events Analyst

The Communications and Events Analyst is responsible for ensuring that communications, events, and training produced by the REC Code Manager are in accordance with the brand and style guide.

The Communications and Events Analyst is responsible for ensuring that communications, events, and training produced by the REC Code Manager are in accordance with the brand and style guide.


  • You will be responsible for developing and curating a catalogue of training materials to support REC Parties and industry stakeholders in improving their understanding of all elements of the REC and its services.
  • You will be responsible for presenting live and pre-recorded events in the form of seminars, virtual webinars, information videos, podcasts and other forms of event and media.
  • You will be responsible for sourcing and organising expert speakers for training seminars and videos where required.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that all outbound communications are of the highest quality. You will ensure that all colleagues with responsibility for generating content and communications also meet the standards set out in the quality and brand guidelines.
  • You will work with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure that the organisation of events is created in line with brand and quality guidelines.
  • You will work with colleagues to analyse service desk reporting, identifying common queries to generate new communications and event content, with the aim of reducing traffic into the service desk.
  • You will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of event and communication of Local Working Instructions.
  • You will support the wider team by providing second-line helpdesk support and being specifically responsible for resolving queries with respect to events and communications. 

Required Experience

  • Experience with creating and running industry events.
  • Experience with creating and delivering against communication and event strategies.
  • Demonstratable experience of working across multiple and possibly contradictory objectives to drive effective solutions.
  • Experience of working collaboratively across a diverse team to deliver exceptional service.

Required Skillset

  • A keen eye for detail and the highest standard of quality for themselves and others.
  • Project management skills, including the ability to manage a varied workload, and be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, able to understand and articulate complex issues to all levels of seniority and to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Be ambitious, creative, and innovative; learn lessons from their work, share expertise and continuously learn.
