We have ambitious plans for the future and are now looking to strengthen our cyber security, data protection and digital transformation sales team by employing an experienced Business Development Manager.

The core activity will be to identify, prioritise and exploit new business opportunities by networking, developing profitable relationships and developing solutions that meet clients’ current and future needs.

The right candidate will have a proven track record of generating new business leads, negotiating and closing sales through direct selling as well as through bids and within a dynamic and competitive sales environment. This individual will have the ability to understand technical/delivery aspects of information security, data protection and IT-enabled change and communicate solutions and value propositions clearly to clients.


  • Generating new business leads, negotiating and closing sales 

  • Identifying additional upsell and cross-sell sales opportunities within existing and dormant accounts

  • Targeting sales prospects in key industry sectors to sell consultancy and related services

  • Identifying and tracking potential bids, tenders and writing responses

  • Collaborating with colleagues in consultancy and marketing to drive timely and successful execution of marketing campaigns/events

  • Increasing awareness of our brand through developing and building networks of contacts across clients and industry sectors

  • Understanding market conditions and prioritising activities to maximise sales and grow future sales pipeline

  • Developing and maintaining an in-depth commercial knowledge of our services and ways we deliver them to generate USPs and value propositions for use in consultative selling

  • Achieving individual sales and revenue targets



The successful candidate will:  

  • Have proven experience in generating and closing sales opportunities of consultancy or similar services, ideally 5-6 years

  • Have 2-3 years of experience reselling to mid-corporate clients and enterprise clients

  • Have a sound understanding of data protection, information and cyber security and digital transformation landscape

  • Have proven ability and experience to strategically develop multi-level relationships from middle management through to C-Level clients by tactical networking and partnerships

  • Have demonstrated a track record in using sales skills to convert sales opportunities within a short time frame

  • Be able to communicate effectively internally to develop business cases for innovative services or approaches to business development

  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills,  particularly in a bid and tender responses 

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and competence in other applications within the Microsoft Office suite.

  • Be a driven self-starter, creative and strategically minded, with an ability to organise, prioritise and plan their activities effectively


  • The role will require travelling
  • Base salary: £45,000 - £65,000 plus uncapped commission (OTE £85,000 - £105,000)
